Marble Plaza

Out here at Marble Plaza, things are usually covered in a thin layer of white dust. We are located at Plot No. 34-35 in the Stone Park, right on National Highway No. 7 in Sleemnabad. If you know this area, you know it’s the heart of the stone business around here. The highway is always humming with trucks carrying massive blocks of marble from the nearby quarries. Our yard is pretty big, and we spend most of our time out in the sun moving slabs around or showing people what we have in stock. It’s physically demanding work and your hands get rough after a few years of doing this. Sleemnabad has a particular rhythm to it, and we are just one part of that. We don't have a polished front office or anything like that. Instead, we have a small cabin where we sit and drink tea while waiting for the next transport to arrive. The sun can be quite brutal in the afternoons, reflecting off all that pale stone, but we’re used to it. We keep a variety of blocks and slabs, mostly focusing on what’s pulled from the local ground. It’s honest work, dealing with heavy materials and making sure the loading is done safely. Sometimes the rain slows us down, turning the dust into a bit of a mess, but we just wait it out and get back to work before the next truck arrives.
