C. K. Marbles

We are set up at Ew-3 in the Housing Board Colony, right near the Jain Mandir in Shanti Nagar. C. K. Marbles has been a part of this local area for a long time. Most people just use the temple as a landmark when they are trying to find where we are. We have a lot of big stone slabs sitting around both outside and inside, so the place is fairly easy to spot from the road. It is a bit of a dusty trade, moving marble around and cutting the pieces to the right size, but we are used to it. The shop itself is not very large, but we manage to pack a lot of variety into the space we have. We spend our mornings unloading the heavy trucks and our afternoons helping local people pick out what they need for their floors or kitchen tops. It is a family-run kind of place, so there is usually a pot of tea being shared around with whoever is visiting. We do not have a website or any of that stuff; we just rely on people walking in or hearing about our shop from their neighbors. Shanti Nagar is a nice enough area, and it stays fairly quiet except for when the school nearby lets out for the day. We like being near the temple because it feels like a good spot for the community. If you need some stone, you just come talk to us.
