Indian Public School

Indian Public School is located in Ward No 7 on Mednipur Road in Manihari. This is in the Katihar district of Bihar. The school is situated in a neighborhood where people are busy with their daily lives and the street outside is often full of carts and pedestrians. Our building is a simple one, and it’s tucked away a bit from the main chaos. We have been serving the kids of Ward No 7 for several years now. The rooms are basic with desks and fans that work when the electricity is steady. Many of the children come from the nearby houses and you can see them walking to the gate in their uniforms every morning. It gets quite humid and hot here, so the classrooms can be a bit stuffy in the middle of the day. We have a small playground which is mostly just a dirt patch, but the kids don't seem to mind when they are playing. The teachers here are mostly locals who understand the challenges of the area. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we just stick to the essentials of teaching and reading. The office is small and filled with old files and registers. It’s a very ordinary school that focuses on giving the neighborhood kids a place to learn their basics without any fuss or expensive extras.
