Kasganj Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based right here in Kasganj, and we’ve been around for a bit now. If you know the local area at all, you can find us over in Mohalla Chaudhary, which is pretty close to the big water tank in Bilram. It's a small place, and we haven't spent any money on fancy signs or decorations. We are just a bunch of regular farmers from around this district who finally decided to pool our resources together. Working on your own is always a struggle, especially when you have to buy your seeds or try to sell what you've grown at the end of the year. So we formed this company to try and help each other out with those things. We mostly deal with whatever the local guys are growing during the current season. Sometimes it’s wheat, sometimes it's other stuff depending on what the soil is doing. We meet up at the house near the tank to talk about the prices and what needs to be done next. It's definitely not a formal thing with people wearing suits. Most of the time we have dirt on our boots and we’re just talking about the crops. We started this because we needed a way to get things done without getting pushed around so much by the middlemen. It’s been a big learning curve for everyone involved. We aren't business experts, just people who know our own land and want to make a living from it.
