Our place is in Pora, which is a small spot in Sikandra Rao. We’ve lived here for a long time and decided to put together this company to help with the organic farming we do. Jaivik means organic, and that’s what we try to stick to. It’s harder than using all those chemicals, but we think it’s better for the land in the long run. Our office is just a small room in Pora where we keep our registers and seeds. We spend more time in the dirt than in that room, to be honest. Dealing with organic crops takes a lot of patience. You can't just rush things. We have a few families involved, and we all share the chores. The 204214 area has been good to us over the years. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We’re just farmers who want to keep our soil healthy for our kids. Sometimes we have a bad crop and things get tight, but that’s farming. We don't have any marketing people or salespeople. If someone wants what we grow, they usually just come to the village and find us. It’s a quiet life here in Sikandra Rao, and we just keep doing what we’ve always done, just a bit more organized now with the company. It’s a lot of trial and error with the natural fertilizers, but we’re learning every season together as a group.
