Ganjdundwara Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Ganjdundwara at Suman Lata Rathore’s house in Nai Basti. We are right near Relkin Ganjdundwara, so it’s easy for the local farmers to reach us. This company was started because we wanted to have a collective voice for the farmers in this part of town. We are just regular people from the neighborhood. Most of us have been working in agriculture since we were kids. We don't have any fancy offices with air conditioning. We mostly meet up outside or in the front room at Suman Lata’s place. We handle the collection of crops and try to figure out the best way to move them to the markets. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather ruins a batch, and we just have to deal with it. We don't use big words to describe our work. It’s just farming and selling. We are part of the Nai Basti community and we like it that way. Everyone knows where we are if they need to talk about their harvest. We keep things simple and honest. We don’t have a big sales pitch. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields translates into a bit of money for our families. That’s about all there is to it.
