Government College Kasaragod

Located up in Vidyanagar, our college is a familiar sight for anyone living in Kasaragod. Being a government institution, it’s always got a lot of activity going on. The campus is spread out with some old trees providing shade, which is great because it rains a lot here in Kerala. You’ll see posters on the walls and students sitting on the stone benches discussing everything from their subjects to what’s happening in the news. It’s an old place with a lot of history, so the hallways have that specific smell of old paper and stone. We have students coming from all sorts of backgrounds, and the classrooms are usually packed. The faculty members have their offices tucked away in various corners of the buildings. It’s not always the quietest place, especially when there’s a function or a meeting happening in the main hall. We just try to keep things running smoothly so the students can get their degrees. The library is a bit of a maze, but it’s where you’ll find the more serious students hiding away. We don’t have fancy cafeteria food, just the basic stuff that keeps everyone going through the day. It’s a real, lived-in space where thousands of people have passed through over the years, and it just keeps ticking along day after day in its own way.
