We aren't based in the big city like many other tech firms. Modaka Technologies Private Limited is located at 28, Kaikini in Bhatkal, which is in the Karwar district of Uttara Kannada. Our pincode is 581421. It’s a beautiful part of the state, much quieter than Bangalore or any of those other hubs. Our office is quite small and we mostly work with local clients or handle things remotely over the internet. Being in Bhatkal means we are close to the coast, which is nice for the weekends. The office is just a simple room with the necessary equipment to keep our technology work going without interruptions. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets on display to impress people. It’s just functional and honest. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the area and the people very well. We usually walk to work or take a scooter since everything is close by. It’s a very different pace of life here compared to the city. We don't have many formal meetings, and when we do, they are pretty casual and quick. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer. It can get very hot during the summer months, but we have some fans to keep the air moving. We're proud to be running a tech company from a smaller town. It shows that you don't always need to be in a big city to get things done.
