Hi Tech Comp

We’ve got our little shop, Hi Tech Comp, right across from the Subhadra Hotel on Kaiga Road. It’s in the Kurnipet area of Mallapur, which is part of the Karwar Taluk. It’s a busy road because of all the traffic going towards the power plant. We’ve been here for a while and most of the locals know where to find us. The shop isn't very big, and it’s usually full of computer parts, cables, and old monitors waiting to be fixed. It’s a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep the equipment clean. I usually have the radio on in the background while I’m working on a motherboard or setting up a new system for someone. People from the village come in when their laptops stop working or if they need some printing done. I don't have a team of people, it's mostly just me and sometimes a helper if things get really backed up. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the sign out front. If I’m not at the desk, I’m probably in the back looking for a specific screw or cable. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy from morning until the sun goes down. The humidity here in Uttara Kannada can be tough on the electronics, so we spend a lot of time cleaning out fans and heat sinks. It is just the way we do things here.
