Design Decisions

Our place is right in the middle of Jawahar Bazaar in Karur, specifically at number 258. If you know Karur, you know how busy the bazaar gets. There are people everywhere and the smell of the market is always in the air. Design Decisions is where we spend our time, mostly working on various projects that come our way. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in the office because of all the files and rolls of paper we have kept over the years. We do not really throw much away because you never know when you might need an old drawing. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit steep. Most days start early before it gets too hot. We do not have a big team, just a few local guys who know their way around a computer and a drafting board. Sometimes we sit and have coffee while we talk about the latest job. It is not very formal here. We might be wearing local clothes and just chatting in Tamil mostly, even though the work involves a lot of English technical terms. People stop by all the time since we are right in the market. It is a good spot because we are close to everything, even if the noise from the street is constant. We just keep the door closed and focus on whatever design we are currently trying to figure out. It works for us.
