Delhi Heritage International School

If you drive past the petrol pump in Salwan, you will see Delhi Heritage International School. We are right there in Karnal, sitting on a bit of land that gets quite a lot of breeze. It is an international school by name, but we keep things very grounded. The building isn't too old, and we have enough rooms for the different grades. Kids from the surrounding farms and the town come here every morning. You can hear the buses pulling in early. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy brochures to describe ourselves. We are just a school where children learn their math and English. The staff room is usually full of notebooks that need grading. During the winter, the morning fog in Karnal can be really thick, so things start a bit slowly. We have a small yard where the students hang out during their lunch break. The walls are painted a simple color and we try to keep the place tidy, though with hundreds of kids, that is always a challenge. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone is safe. It is a local place for local families. Being near the petrol pump makes it easy for parents to find us. We don't have any big corporate backing, just the people who work here every day. It's a regular school life in this part of Haryana. We just do our best with what we have.
