Sri Raghavendra Transport

This transport business is based in Bhudhavarampeta village, which is under the Manthini Mandal. Our office is at H. No 3-19-1 in the SC Colony. Being in a village, our work is closely tied to the seasons and what the local farmers need. We have a few trucks that we use to transport goods to the city or between different villages. It is not a complicated setup. We have a small yard where we park the vehicles. My family helps out with the booking and keeping track of where the drivers are. The roads in this part of Manthini can be rough, so we spend a lot of time on maintenance and fixing tires. We know almost everyone in the area, so most of our business comes through word of mouth. Someone needs a load of grain moved, they just come to the house and talk to us. We don't use much technology, just our mobile phones and a ledger book. It’s a hard way to earn a living with the rising fuel prices, but it is what we know. The SC Colony is a quiet place until the trucks start up in the morning. We just try to keep the vehicles running and make sure the goods arrive without damage. It’s a basic life, working with the land and the people around Bhudhavarampeta. We don't make it sound bigger than it is.
