Computer Operator

This is the work of Mohammad Aleem Hussain. The office is located at House Number 2-7-846, which is a newer building in the Mukarampura area of Karimnagar. It used to be considered Andhra Pradesh but things have changed with the state borders now. I spend most of my days sitting in front of the screen doing typing, data entry, and helping people with their online forms. Many people in the neighborhood don't have a computer or don't know how to navigate the official websites, so they come here. It’s a small space with just the basic equipment needed to get the job done. Mukarampura is a lively place and there is always noise from the street coming through the window. I started doing this because I was good with keyboards and it seemed like a useful thing for the local community. It isn't a big corporation, just a one-person operation mostly. I keep track of all the files and make sure the printer has ink. Sometimes the power goes out and I have to wait for it to come back to finish a task. People bring in their documents and I try to get them processed as quickly as I can. It's a lot of staring at small text and making sure there are no typos. I've been at this address for a while and the neighbors know they can just drop by when they need something typed up or printed out. It’s steady work and it keeps me connected to the people here.
