We are based in Karimnagar, specifically at House Number 8-5-435. Andhra Pradesh has its own pace, and here in this part of town, things move steadily. The Hdfc office is tucked away in a spot that feels quite local and grounded. We have been in this building for a good bit of time, and the walls show a little wear here and there, but it works for what we need. The 505209 area code is home to us. Mornings usually start with the sound of the shutters going up and the smell of breakfast from the nearby houses. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist in a suit; it is just us at our desks doing what needs to be done. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we just wait it out, chatting about the local news or the weather. The heat can be a lot in the middle of the year, so the water cooler is a popular spot. We keep things simple here. There are plenty of ledgers and computers, and not much in the way of decoration. It is a straightforward place for straightforward work. Most of the people who drop by are neighbors or folks who have lived in Karimnagar for years. We like the familiarity of the street and the way the light hits the front windows in the late afternoon. It is just a regular office where we show up and do our bit.
