Prawah Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited

This is Prawah Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited. We are located in Bairwa Mohalla, which is in Jaysinghpurakhandar. That is over in the Sawai Madhopur district. This group is mostly women farmers working together. It is not always easy running a company while also handling the house and the fields, but we make it work somehow. We started this because we wanted to have our own way of doing business with the crops we grow. The office is not much, just a room in the mohalla where we store things and have our meetings. Sawai Madhopur is famous for its tigers but here in the village, we care more about the rain and the soil. We deal with whatever is in season. Sometimes it is mustard, other times it is grain. We do not have any big marketing people. We just talk to each other and figure out who needs what. The name Prawah felt right to us. Jaysinghpurakhandar is a bit far from the main city, so we have to be organized about transport. We have had some ups and downs since we registered the name. But we are still here. It is a lot of talking to government offices and keeping track of the bags. We are just a local group of women trying to keep things moving. It is practical work. We do not use any big words. We just do the farming and the selling.
