Flavours (The Cabbana Resort And Spa)

Our restaurant is part of The Cabbana Resort and Spa, located on National Highway-1 in Phagwara. We are specifically in Village Sabror, right on the highway between Phagwara and Jalandhar. Being on the highway means we get a lot of travelers who are stopping for a break during a long drive. We also have people who are staying at the resort for weddings or holidays. The grounds here are quite large, so there is a lot of walking back and forth between the kitchen and the storage areas. It’s a bit of a workout every day. We spend a lot of time preparing for events because they can be quite large. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of fans and pans clinking. We don't try to be anything too fancy, even if we are in a resort. We just want to make sure the food is hot and the service is decent. Most of the staff are from the local villages nearby, so we know each other well. We talk about the crops or the weather while we’re prepping the ingredients. It’s a busy life, especially during the wedding season when the whole place is packed. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things organized. It’s a lot of work, but we’ve got a good routine down after all these years.
