We are up on the 3rd floor of the Tulsa Complex, which is at 7/118 Swaroop Nagar in Kanpur. It is right opposite the Axis Bank and if you look up from the Vodafone store on the ground floor, you will see our windows. The stairs up to the third floor can be a bit of a climb if the lift isn't working, but it’s good exercise. We handle weddings and events from this office, though we spend more time out at the venues than sitting behind a desk. The room is usually filled with fabric samples, floor plans, and lists of caterers. Kanpur is a busy place and Swaroop Nagar is one of the more active areas, so there is always something going on outside. We don't have a polished showroom with fancy lights. It’s just a workspace where we figure out the logistics of how to get flowers and tables to a party on time. Sometimes we stay late drinking coffee and trying to fix a schedule that isn't working out. We’ve had a few spills on the carpet and the printer jams more often than it should, but we make it work. It’s a lot of grit and last-minute changes in this line of work. We just show up and do what needs doing to make sure the event happens.
