Our place is at No-69/156 in Danakhori, which is very close to the railway station. You can actually feel the ground shake a little bit when the heavy trains go past. It’s an older part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow, so getting supplies in and out can be a bit of a challenge. At Shino Chemicals, we don't have a big staff or a fancy office. It is mostly just a couple of rooms filled with ledgers and some samples. The walls are a bit yellowed from the years, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to ignore. We spend a lot of time waiting for the mail or coordinating with the guys at the station. It is a busy area, always filled with people rushing to catch their trains or carrying heavy bags. We usually have our door open to catch whatever breeze there is, even if it brings in the soot from the tracks. We don't have any big goals other than getting through the day's work and making sure the orders are packed properly. Sometimes the street gets flooded during the monsoon, and we have to put everything on top of the desks to keep it dry. It’s just a small, local business doing what it has always done in this corner of Danakhori.
