New Shiva Ice Cream

You can find New Shiva Ice Cream at House No-4 in the Lal Bangla area. We are situated quite close to the Ramadevi Chauraha, which is a very busy spot. Being near such a major intersection means there is always noise and traffic nearby. Our shop is part of the house, so it has a very local feel to it. We don't have a big corporate sign or anything like that. People mostly know we are here because they live in the neighborhood or they pass by on their way to the chauraha. We spend our time stocking the different flavors and making sure the power stays steady. In this part of town, you have to be careful about that. We have a couple of benches where people can sit for a minute if they aren't in a hurry. The walls are painted a plain color and we keep the floor swept. It is a simple setup. We see a lot of familiar faces every day since we are right in the middle of a residential area. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in with just a few coins. We try to keep a good variety of things in the freezer. It’s not a big operation, just us running the place out of House No-4. Most of the work is just being here when people want something cold. It is a steady way to live and work in Lal Bangla. We usually start tidying up once the sun goes down and the traffic at the chauraha thins out.
