Mahek India Arts

Over at No. 105/6 J K Colony in Jajmau, that is where Mahek India Arts is located. Jajmau is a busy place with a lot of history, and our little spot in J K Colony is right in the middle of all that activity. The building is nothing out of the ordinary, just a place where we can store our materials and do our work. It can get pretty noisy outside with all the local traffic and people going about their business. Inside, it is often a bit crowded because we have a lot of stuff packed into the rooms. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but it is a constant battle against the clutter. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time, so we are like a small family. We have our tea together and talk about what is happening in the colony. It is not a corporate environment at all. We wear comfortable clothes and don't worry too much about appearances as long as the work gets done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out, chatting until it comes back on. That is just how life is here. We are just a group of people trying to make a living and doing our best with what we have. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to do it.
