Our spot is over at 574/E in Barra 3, specifically in the Janta Nagar area of Kanpur. It’s one of those busy neighborhoods where there is always something going on outside the door. We run Ganges Internationale.Com from here, and while the name sounds all high-tech, the office is just a regular place in a crowded part of town. Kanpur can be pretty hot and dusty during the summer months, so we spend a lot of time keeping the fans going and trying to stay cool while we work. The streets around Janta Nagar are narrow, so if you’re coming by, it’s usually better on a bike than in a car. We’ve been in this building for a bit now, and we know all the local tea sellers and the other shopkeepers around us. It’s not a fancy corporate setup by any means. We have our computers and our paperwork spread out on the desks, and that’s about it. Most of our day is spent dealing with the typical stuff that comes up in business. We don’t really have any big slogans or anything like that. We just come in every morning, open up the shutters, and get to work on whatever is on the schedule for that day. It’s a simple life here in Barra 3, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic and the people passing by our window all day long. Sometimes we even have to deal with the monkeys.
