You can find Deco Gold Ceramics Ltd. on the first floor of the Shreyas Complex. We are located right behind the Rushika Complex on Ashram Road, which is near Dinesh Hall. It’s a very busy part of the city and finding a parking spot can be a real headache some days. Our office is where we handle the sales and the distribution of various ceramic products. We don’t have a big fancy showroom here, just some racks with samples of tiles and different ceramic finishes that people can look at. Most of our work involves sitting at the desks and making sure the orders from the factories get to the customers on time. The phones ring quite a bit and there is usually a lot of talk about shipping dates and truck routes. Ashram Road has a lot of energy and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while now. We keep a simple setup with just enough chairs for us and maybe a guest. We don’t spend time on marketing slogans or anything like that. We just focus on the ceramics and making sure the boxes don't get broken during transport. It’s a lot of logistical work and checking lists over and over again. We usually close up as soon as the sun goes down and the traffic starts to peak. It’s not the most exciting work but it’s what we do and we’ve gotten quite good at knowing which tiles will arrive in one piece and which ones won't. We just try to be honest about the timelines.
