Kera Coconut & Agri Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Embate P.O, specifically at Kodakkal Puthiya Veedu. This is a producer company, so it’s all about the farmers coming together. We work out of this house in Pariyaram. It is a very local setup. Coconut is the main thing for us, as you can probably tell from the name. Most of our days involve talking to the local growers and seeing how the crop is doing. We aren't a big city firm with shiny windows. We have a simple office where we keep our records and meet with the members. It can get a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once. Pariyaram is a good area for coconuts, so we are right in the middle of it. We deal with the collection and the processing side of things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. Sometimes we sit out on the porch and talk through the problems the farmers are facing. The weather is always a big topic of conversation here. If it doesn't rain enough, the nuts don't grow right. We just take it one day at a time and try to help each other out. It is a community thing more than a corporate thing. We’ve been at this address for a while and everyone around knows where to find us. It’s just us farmers trying to get things done.
