Cannanore Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at No.1, Pallikkara House. We are located in Kattyam, which is part of the Arolipappinisseri Village. It is a very rural setting, which makes sense for an agro company. The house is where we do all our administrative work. It’s a traditional kind of place, not an office block. We work with the farmers in the surrounding village area. Most of our day is spent visiting fields or sitting in the shade talking about the harvest. We deal with whatever the local farmers are growing at the time. It is a slow-paced life in some ways, but there is always a lot of physical work to be done. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. People just know where Pallikkara House is and they come by when they have something to discuss. We handle the collection of the produce and try to find the right buyers for it. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. Sometimes the roads are bad and it takes forever to get anywhere. We don't mind it much. We have lived in Arolipappinisseri for a long time and we know how things work here. It’s a group effort to keep the company going. We are just a bunch of locals working together to get by and make the farm life a bit easier.
