Veddhara Global School

Being located in Jawalamukhi means we are right in the middle of a very old part of Kangra. Veddhara Global School sits on a plot of land that gets quite a bit of dust when the wind picks up. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we walk or take a scooter in every morning. The school isn't some massive glass building; it is just a practical space for the local kids. We have the 176031 pincode stamped on all our mail, which usually arrives around noon if the postman is on time. In the mornings, you can hear the birds and maybe a tractor in the distance before the students arrive and things get loud. The halls are narrow and the floors are easy to clean, which is good because the kids bring in a lot of dirt from the play area. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as there are enough chairs for everyone. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just open the windows to let the light in. It is an honest way to spend a day. We see parents coming by to ask questions or pay fees, and we just talk to them like neighbors because that is what they are. It is just a regular school in a quiet corner of the district. We stay busy enough.
