Vaishno Group Of Colleges

Up here in Thapkour, near Nurpur in the Kangra district, we have the Vaishno Group Of Colleges. It’s a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh, though the roads can be a bit of a challenge when the weather turns. We have students coming from all over the local area and even further out. Running a college in this location means dealing with a lot of logistics. We spend a lot of time making sure the buildings are in good shape and the classrooms are ready for the next batch of students. It’s a big responsibility, but we’ve been doing it for years now. You’ll see us walking around the campus, probably talking to a contractor or checking on the library. It isn't like those big city universities you see on TV. It’s more grounded and focused on getting through the syllabus. We have our fair share of paperwork and administrative headaches, just like any other school. The staff here live nearby mostly, so we all know the local culture. We drink a lot of chai and talk about how to make things run smoother. The 176403 pin code is our home. We don't put on airs or try to act like we’re something we’re not. We provide a place for young people to study and get their degrees so they can hopefully find a good path for themselves later on.
