We are located at 298 Old Mahabalipuram Road. It’s right in the Sholinganallur area, which has grown a lot lately. Vestas Wind Technology is basically a team of people working on wind energy stuff here in Chennai. The OMR is always packed with traffic, so getting to the office can be a bit of a headache some days. Our building is easy enough to find if you’re looking for it. We spend our time dealing with the technical side of wind turbines and how they fit into the grid. It’s a lot of data and planning. We have engineers and support staff all under one roof. It’s not a small operation, but we try to keep things grounded. The work is mostly technical, so we don't really have time for sales pitches or anything like that. We just focus on the projects at hand. Sometimes the days feel long when we’re trying to figure out a specific problem with a site or a piece of equipment. We've been in this part of Chennai for a while, watching all the new tech buildings go up around us. It’s a busy hub. People here are usually focused on their screens or in meetings. We just get through the work list one thing at a time. It’s a steady environment where everyone knows their role. No big mysteries, just wind technology work being done every day. We usually grab lunch from the local spots nearby and then get right back to the blueprints or the reports we are writing.
