Hydrodrive Systems And Controls Pvt. Ltd. is based out in Perungudi, at Plot No.69 in the Industrial Estate. We’ve got a P. Box number too, 5076, for all the mail that comes in. Being in an industrial estate means it’s always loud with the sound of machines and trucks moving in and out. We work on hydraulic systems and various types of controls, which is mostly a lot of metal, oil, and heavy parts. Our workshop floor is usually a bit greasy, no matter how much we try to clean it, but that’s just how it goes when you’re fixing drives and valves. The heat in Chennai can be really something else, especially in an industrial shed, so we have a lot of fans going all the time. It’s a small team here, and most of us have been working together for years, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We don’t really do anything fancy in terms of marketing; we just take the orders, fix the systems, and send them back out. Sometimes a client comes in with a part that looks like it’s forty years old and asks us to make it work again. Those are the days that get interesting. We spend a lot of time looking at technical drawings and measuring things with calipers. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do, and we’ve been doing it here in Perungudi for a long time.
