Boon School

Out in Ramyapet E G, we run Boon School. It’s a fairly straightforward place. We aren't located in a big city center, so things are a bit slower and quieter here than they might be elsewhere. The school is basically a few buildings set around a central area where the kids gather for assembly. We don’t have a massive sports complex, but there’s enough room for the children to run around during their breaks. Most of the families who send their children here are locals from the village or nearby farms. We know almost every student by their first name, and we usually know their parents too. The classrooms have the essentials, and we try to keep the walls decorated with the kids' drawings to make it look a bit more cheerful. During the rainy season, the yard gets a bit muddy, so we spend a lot of time telling the kids to wipe their feet. We teach the standard subjects and try to make sure everyone stays on track. It’s not a fancy place with high-tech gadgets everywhere. We rely on good teachers who actually care about whether the kids understand the lesson. It’s just a small-town school doing its best to give the local kids a decent start. We open early and close once the last student has been picked up by their family. It’s a simple life here.
