Sultan Sea Food

Our spot is at 1107 in the GIDC Plot area, which is pretty much as industrial as it gets. Sultan Sea Food is all about the daily grind of processing fish and getting it ready for sale. It’s a wet, cold job, and the floor is almost always covered in water and melting ice. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in rubber boots and aprons, busy with the latest catch. The smell of the sea is everywhere, and you just get used to it after a while. Our building is a simple concrete structure designed to be easy to wash down at the end of every shift. There’s a small desk in the corner of the main room where we handle the billing, but most of the work happens on the stainless steel tables. We don’t have any marketing slogans or big promises; we just deal with what the boats bring in that day. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend half the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It’s a gritty, practical environment, and it’s definitely not for everyone. But for us, it’s just what we do. We focus on the quality of the fish and making sure it stays fresh until it leaves the plot. It’s a straightforward, honest business without any of the corporate fluff you see in other places.
