Allana Frozen Foods Ltd.

We have been operating out of 51/56 in the GIDC for quite a long time now. It is a busy industrial area, so there is always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. Our daily routine starts early in the morning when the first deliveries arrive at the gate. Because we deal with frozen foods, a lot of our time is spent checking the temperature gauges and making sure the cold storage units are running properly. It is not a glamorous job, and the office is just a simple room with some old desks and a few filing cabinets. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations out front, just the address painted on the wall so the drivers can find us. The yard gets a bit crowded when two or three trucks show up at the same time, and someone usually has to go out and direct traffic. Most of the staff live in the nearby villages and have been with us for years. We drink a lot of tea to stay warm when we have to go inside the freezers to check the stock. The weather can be a bit of a problem during the monsoon when the roads get muddy, but we just keep things moving as best as we can. It is a straightforward business with a lot of manual work and very little downtime. We just focus on getting the crates loaded and keeping the inventory correct day after day.
