You can find us in the Gidc Area, which is basically where all the heavy work happens around here. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s not the prettiest place to look at. There is a lot of dust and the roads are a bit bumpy, especially after it rains. We work with sea food, so the first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell of ice and fish. It’s something you get used to, but visitors always mention it. We start our day very early, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the fresh catch comes in. The whole place is a rush of activity for the first few hours. We have large cold storage rooms and a lot of crates stacked up everywhere. The office is just a small cabin where we keep the records. It’s usually cold in there too. We don’t have many employees, just a core group that knows how to handle the product properly. We don’t have a website or fancy brochures. Most of our business comes from people we have known for years. We just focus on getting the fish processed and loaded onto the trucks before the heat kicks in. It’s a lot of physical labor and messy work, but we’ve been doing it for a long time. It isn't glamorous, but it is honest work that keeps us moving and pays the bills.
