Being located at E-13 Shakun in Shastri Nagar makes for a fairly steady workday. This part of Jodhpur is usually a bit calmer than the old city, though the street outside our building can get busy when people are heading to work or school. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in a residential-looking block, but it serves us well enough for what we do. We have been here long enough that the walls are starting to show a bit of wear, and the floor has those scuff marks that come from years of people walking in and out. Inside, it is mostly just us and the sound of keyboards or the occasional phone ringing. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just the basic stuff that was here when we started. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when too many files are out at once, but we manage to find what we need eventually. The morning routine is always the same, someone arrives early to turn on the lights and the AC if it’s one of those really hot Jodhpur afternoons. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating, aside from a few calendars on the wall. It is a practical place for practical work. Most people who come to see us are from around the neighborhood or have been told where to find us by someone else. We just keep our heads down and get the day's work finished.
