My office is located at 19-B in Pitrya Chaya, which is right on Pal Road here in Jodhpur. Most people in the Subhash Nagar area know the building. It’s a straightforward place where I spend most of my day looking at balance sheets and tax forms. Jodhpur gets incredibly hot during the summer, so the air conditioner is usually running full blast from April onwards. I’ve lived in this city for a long time, and setting up this practice felt like the right thing to do for the community. I don’t have a huge staff or anything like that. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers who keep things moving. We deal with GST filings and personal income tax for a lot of the families around here. The shelves are packed with old tax law books and folders that have seen better days. There’s a tea stall just down the road that makes the best ginger tea, and I usually have a cup while going through the morning mail. It’s a quiet life, mostly. People drop by with their documents in plastic bags, and we sit down to figure things out together. I try to keep things simple because tax stuff is already complicated enough for most folks. You won't find any glossy brochures here. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of work to get through before the deadlines hit.
