Our place is at number 9 in Jivan Vihar Colony, which is right off the Umaid Club Road in Rai-Ka-Bagh. It’s a nice area, a bit quieter than the heavy industrial zones. We have a yard where we keep the big logs and a workshop area where the cutting happens. You can hear the big saw running for most of the morning. I spend a lot of time walking between the office and the stacks of timber outside. We have to cover everything with plastic sheets when the clouds look like they might drop some rain. The office is small and usually smells like cedar or neem depending on what we are cutting that day. There’s an old dog that hangs around the gate and sleeps in the shade of the trucks. We don't have any sales people, just us and the guys who handle the wood. If you call, you’ll probably hear the machines in the background. We don't do much marketing or anything. People just find us through word of mouth or because they saw our sign near the club. It is simple work, really. We take the wood, we cut it, and we sell it to people who need it. There are no fancy meetings or long presentations here. We just count the boards and make sure the measurements are right.
