Latest Mobile Gifts

Our shop is right near the Clock Tower in Umed Chok, Jodhpur. It is a very busy part of the city, especially with all the tourists and local shoppers moving around. We called the place Latest Mobile Gifts because we try to get the newer phone models and trendy gift items as soon as we can. Being near the Clock Tower means there is never a quiet moment. We see all sorts of people every day. Some are just looking for a memory card, while others want a nice souvenir or a gift for a wedding. The space is small, so we have to use every inch of the walls for display. It gets quite warm in the afternoon, so we usually have a cold drink while waiting for the next customer. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just put our items near the front window. Sometimes we have to haggle a bit, which is just part of doing business in Jodhpur. The shop has been here through many seasons, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. Despite the name, we are quite old-fashioned in how we run things. We write down our sales in a ledger and keep things simple. It’s a lot of standing and talking, but it’s what we do. The view of the old city from our doorstep is something we never really get tired of seeing every day.
