V.S.Chemicals

Our office and warehouse, V.S. Chemicals, is at 338-339 Balaji Nagar. We are right near the railway crossing in the Riico Industrial Area of Sangaria. If you’ve ever been here, you know how long you have to wait for the trains to pass sometimes. We often watch the trains go by from our front door while we wait for the dust to settle. It’s a very industrial part of Sangaria and the wind blows a lot of sand around. We have two units side by side where we store our chemicals. The floors are concrete and we try to keep them clean, though it’s a constant battle with the local environment. Our daily routine involves a lot of loading and unloading. We don't have a computer for every person or anything like that. Most things are still written down in ledgers or on the back of receipts. The guys who work here have been with us for years and we mostly just get on with the task without much talk. When the railway gate is closed, the whole street goes quiet for a few minutes, which is a nice break from the usual noise. It’s a tough place to work because of the heat and the dust, but we’ve made a decent life for ourselves here. We just focus on the bins and barrels and getting them to the right people.
