The Cutting Point Saloon

The Cutting Point Saloon is right in the middle of Kamla Nehru Nagar in Jodhpur. We are at number 150 in the District Shopping Center, which is a place most people around here know well. Being opposite the ESI Hospital means we get a lot of foot traffic and people waiting for appointments who decide they need a quick shave or a haircut. Jodhpur gets very dusty and hot, so the shop is a bit of a refuge from that. We keep things very simple here. There are chairs, some mirrors, and the tools of the trade. We do not go in for all that expensive marketing you see elsewhere. It is just a neighborhood saloon where men come to get cleaned up. We hear a lot of stories from the people who sit in our chairs, mostly about what is going on in the shopping center or at the hospital across the road. The street outside is always noisy with vehicles and people shouting, but we are used to it by now. It is a small space but we make it work. Every morning we clean the windows and get the towels ready. We have been part of this shopping center for a long time and we know most of the other shopkeepers nearby. It is a basic, practical place for a haircut without any of the extra fuss that some newer places have.
