You can find Vishnu Hair Style on Kali Beri Road in the Soorsagar area of Jodhpur. We are positioned right in front of the Safi Building which is a well-known spot around here. Jodhpur can get very hot so we have a cooler running most of the time to keep the shop from getting stuffy. The road outside is often dusty with bikes and trucks going past. We have a few chairs for the customers and a large mirror that we've had since we opened. The walls are a bit faded but it gives the place a lived-in feel. We do mostly hair cutting and shaves for the local men. It is a straightforward business without any bells and whistles. We have some pictures of different hair styles on the wall but most people just tell us what they want. Sometimes kids from the Safi Building come over for their cuts. We have a small radio that plays music or the news throughout the day. The floor is made of stone which helps keep it a bit cooler. It is a small shop and things can get a bit disorganized when we have three or four people waiting. We use simple tools and take our time with each person. It is a good neighborhood to be in and we have made many friends over the years here while working at our shop.
