Suraj Engineering Industries

Our workshop is found at H 689 (A) in the Basni Iind Phase area. We are tucked behind O S Motors, so you have to look a bit carefully to find the turn. It’s a typical industrial setting with plenty of iron and steel around. At Suraj Engineering Industries, we spend most of our hours working with metals. The sound of welding and grinding is pretty much the soundtrack to our day. We have a few heavy machines that take up most of the floor space. It’s not a place for clean clothes; we usually end the day with grease on our hands and shirts. The workshop is open-fronted mostly to let the air circulate when it gets hot. We have a small office corner with an old desk and a few files, but we’re rarely sitting there. Most of the work happens on the benches or at the machines. We deal with various parts and repairs for other businesses in Basni. There’s always a pile of scrap metal in the corner waiting to be cleared out. We know most of the guys in the shops nearby, and we often borrow tools or help each other out. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We start early when the air is still a bit cool and keep going until the day's tasks are done. It’s just how we work. We don't have a website or anything, just our name on the board outside. It's a simple life.
