Suncity Tours & Travels

Being right on Station Road means there is always noise and people moving around outside. We’ve been here at Suncity Tours & Travels for a while, just trying to help folks get their travel sorted. It's a small place, nothing too special to look at, but it works for what we do. We mostly deal with people who are already at the station or heading there soon. Sometimes the tea stall next door is louder than our own office. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking seats on the computer. It can be a bit of a headache when the systems go slow, but we manage. My cousin helps out in the afternoons when it gets really packed. We aren't trying to be some huge company, just a local spot where you can get a ticket or find a car for the day. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we're usually too busy to bother with that. We know the train schedules by heart now because we hear the whistles all day. It’s a decent living. We like the people who stop by with their bags, telling us where they’re headed. We just make sure they have their papers ready. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just us here every day, making sure the travel part of the trip goes okay. Sometimes we stay late if a train is delayed and someone needs help finding a different way home. It’s just part of the job and we get used to it after a while.
