Sizer Palace Unisex Salon sits right on Kajri Road. If you know where Shrinath Cargo is, then you know exactly where we are in Jodhpur. It’s a busy spot. We get both men and women coming in because we handle all kinds of hair. It gets loud sometimes because of the trucks moving nearby. Inside, we have our stations set up with different shampoos and scissors. The lights are bright so we can see what we are doing. We keep a stack of magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones now while they wait. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, but hair is everywhere. Our chairs are comfortable enough for a long sit. We’ve got some spray bottles and combs lined up on the counters. It stays hot outside, so the fan is always humming in the background. We don't do anything complicated, just standard cutting and styling. Some days are packed and other days we just sit and watch the traffic go by on Kajri Road. It’s been our routine for a long time. People from the neighborhood know us by name. We just open up, do the work, and go home when the sun goes down. It’s a plain shop but it works for us and the people who live around here. We just focus on the hair and the conversation.
