Shree Siddh Traders

Shree Siddh Traders operates out of Godown No. 87 in the Naga Cheri Mandi. If you’ve ever been to a mandi, you know what it’s like. It is loud, dusty, and full of people trying to move things quickly. Our godown is just one of many in a long row of storage spaces. We spend most of our time inside among the stacks of goods. It’s a very physical job. We are constantly moving bags around to make room for new stock or to get an order ready for a customer. The walls of the godown are just bare concrete, and we have a small desk in the corner where we keep our ledgers. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that. We just open the big metal shutters to let the air in. Some days the mandi is so crowded that it takes an hour just to get a truck to our door. You have to have a lot of patience to work here. We aren't looking to be the biggest traders in the city. We just want to keep our customers happy and make sure we don't make mistakes with the weights. It’s a simple business of buying and selling. We’ve been in this godown for a long time, and we know all the other traders in Naga Cheri. We just keep doing our thing every day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. There’s no point in making it sound complicated.
