Gayatri Steel

Gayatri Steel is located over at E-515 in the Marudhar Industrial Area, specifically the 2nd Phase of Basni. This part of Jodhpur is always buzzing with the sound of machinery and heavy trucks. Our yard is full of steel—rods, angles, and sheets piled up everywhere. It’s a bit of a rough-and-tumble environment. Everything is heavy, and everything is made of metal. We don’t have a fancy office with leather chairs. Instead, we have a small room with a fan that barely keeps the heat away during the summer months. Most of our day is spent outdoors or in the shed, moving steel around with the crane or cutting pieces to size for customers who come in. The ground is usually dusty, and there’s always a bit of iron filings in the air. We wear heavy gloves because the steel gets hot under the sun. People come to us from all over the industrial area when they need parts for a construction job or a repair. We don’t do any big marketing campaigns; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been in Basni for a while and people know where to find us. It’s hard, physical work, and our clothes are usually stained with grease and rust. We just focus on getting the weight right on the scales and making sure the trucks are loaded safely before they head out into the Jodhpur traffic.
