Shree Balaji

Out here in Village Ujaliya, things are much slower than what you find in the bigger towns. We are located in the Osian Tehsil. Shree Balaji is the name we use for our business. This is a very rural part of the country, so we are mostly surrounded by open fields and some dry patches of land. Much of our daily work is connected to the local farming community and what they are producing in the fields. We have a very modest building where we store our supplies and keep the records. The sun gets incredibly hot in this desert region, so we usually try to start our work as early as five in the morning to finish before the heat becomes too much to handle. It involves a lot of lifting and moving heavy bags around. We don't have any of those high-tech machines you see in the city. It’s mostly just manual labor and being consistent for the people who live in the village. Sometimes, when the work is finished, we sit on the wooden benches outside and just watch the road. There isn't much traffic to speak of, maybe just a few tractors or the occasional bus heading towards Osian. We’ve lived in Ujaliya our whole lives, so everyone knows where to find us. We don't bother with ads or flyers. People just walk in when they need something. It’s a honest way to make a living.
