Sadabahar Hair Dresser

Sadabahar Hair Dresser is my little shop at Shop No 2 on Nagori Gate Road. We are right on Mandore Road in Jodhpur. If you are looking for Sumer Public School, we are just nearby. You can often hear the kids shouting during their recess time while I am working. Jodhpur gets very hot in the summer, so the shop is a good place to hide from the sun for thirty minutes. I have two chairs and a big mirror that covers most of the wall. I’ve been cutting hair since I was a young man. It’s what I know how to do best. I don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People just know where we are. Usually, the morning is quiet, but by evening, the shop gets full of people heading home from work. They want to look tidy for the next day. I keep the scissors sharp and the spray bottle filled. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to open the door wide for light. That's just how it is here. I don't try to make it look like a fancy parlor. It is a hair dresser shop for regular people. We talk about the local news or the weather while I work. It’s a simple life. I am glad to be here on Mandore Road and I hope to stay here as long as I can keep my hands steady.
