Rajlaxmi Steel Industries

Rajlaxmi Steel Industries is situated at E-430 in the M.I.A. area, specifically Basni Phase II. It’s a pretty dry and dusty part of town, especially when the wind kicks up. We have a large shed where we store the steel coils and sheets. The sun hits the metal roof and makes it quite warm inside by midday. We spend a lot of time moving heavy stuff around with the overhead crane. It’s a bit of a dance to get everything in the right place so the trucks can load up easily. Most of our days are spent checking the thickness of the steel and making sure the cuts are straight. We don't have much in the way of decoration. There’s an old calendar on the wall and a water cooler that everyone uses. Being in Basni Phase II means we are surrounded by other factories, so there’s always a hum of machinery in the air. We’ve been here for several years and have seen the area grow quite a bit. It’s not a glamorous job, but we take it seriously. We aren't big on talking about ourselves; we just want to make sure the orders are ready when the drivers show up. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. No need for anything more than a solid roof and some good workers who know their jobs well.
