New Vishvakarma Handicraft

We've been here in Basni 2nd Phase for a while now. It's usually pretty dusty on Salawas Road but we keep busy anyway. New Vishvakarma Handicraft isn't some giant factory. It's just us doing the work day in and day out. Usually, there's wood shavings all over the workshop floor by noon. My father started this kind of work, and now we carry it on here in Angira Nagar, Sector 'A'. We mostly deal with iron and wood things. People come by the workshop and see the guys welding or carving. It’s loud and the machines hum all day long. We make things that people actually use in their houses, nothing too fancy. Sometimes the heat in the sector gets really bad during the summer months, but the work doesn't stop. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just the sheds and the tools we need. If you're looking for us, look for the big blue gate near the turn-off. We try to get things done on time, though sometimes the wood takes longer to dry than we originally thought. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Jodhpur, just a steady one. We have about ten guys working here most days. They live nearby. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about the next project. That’s just how it is here.
