New Raj Hair Salon

We’ve been here at Melwano Ka Raj Baag for a good while now. The shop is right on Soor Sagar Road in Jodhpur, and it stays pretty busy most days. You can hear the traffic outside all the time while we work. It’s just a normal place with a few chairs and mirrors. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool before the heat really kicks in. Usually, it is the same faces coming in for a trim or a shave. We don't have anything fancy here, just the tools we need and some old towels. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out or keep going with the scissors if there is enough light from the door. New Raj Hair Salon isn't a big flashy place. It’s just where we spend our days. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping. My hands are usually smelling like shaving cream or aftershave by noon. We sit on the plastic chairs out front when there aren't any customers. It’s a simple life. People stop by to chat even if they don’t need a haircut. Gahushayal is a decent area to be in. We just try to get the job done so people can get back to their work. The mirrors are a bit old but they show everything fine. It’s just us here day after day.
