Nag Ganechi Hair Saloon

Nag Ganechi Hair Saloon is over at Plot-41 on Bagikhana Road. We are in the Ratanada area of Jodhpur, not too far from Panchbati. It’s a nice enough neighborhood, and we’ve been here serving the local crowd for a good bit of time now. The shop is small, but it’s ours. We spend most of the day cutting hair and giving shaves to the men who live around here. You get to know people’s families and their stories when you do this job for enough years. We aren't some high-end place with fancy names for everything they do. If you want a cut, we give you a cut. The mirrors are a bit old, and the chairs have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough for a quick sit. We keep the shop open during the usual hours, and things pick up in the evenings when people finally get off work. Ratanada is a busy place, and Bagikhana Road has its own rhythm. Being near Panchbati helps people find us, I suppose. We don't do much advertising at all. Most of our customers come because their fathers or brothers came here first. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we enjoy being part of the street. Just honest work with our hands, day in and day out. That’s what Nag Ganechi is all about, really. No fuss, just hair and some talk about the city.
